By default, all attachments in notes
(photos, videos, etc.) are saved to the internal memory of your device.
But if you have a lot of notes containing large files, you can enable
the mode of saving attachments to the SD card. To do this, move the
switch to the "SD card" position. The switch is active only if a
writeable SD card is inserted into the device. When using the mode of
saving attachments to the SD card, you need to consider the following:
- After enabling this option, all new attachments will only be saved to the SD card. All previously saved attachments remain in the internal memory
of the device. On the opposite, if you turn off the save to SD card
option, all new attachments will be saved in the device's memory, but
those saved to the SD card will remain on the SD card.
- If you remove the SD card from the device, then all new
attachments will be saved to the internal memory of the phone, even if
you do not turn off the option of saving to SD card.
- If you remove the SD card from the device, the attachments saved on the SD card will not be available. In this case, they will be indicated by the icon
. After you reinsert the SD card into the device, the attachments will be available again.
- If you have saved data on Google Drive and plan to restore it on
your device, all attachments will be restored either only in the
internal memory or only on the SD card, depending on the position of
the switch.
- You should take into account that the SD card is generally slower
than the internal memory. Therefore, when you enable the option of
saving to SD card, the application will work slower with attachments.
- Only attachments are saved to the SD card, not notes. Therefore, it is not possible to use this option to transfer all your notes to another device!
